NEXT MEETING . . WORKINGTON COMETS
KOC FINAL 2nd LEG . 17th OCTOBER |
|
|
We all had that secret hope that we just might be able to snatch it from the Monarchs tonight and, in truth, it certainly looked in the first half as if we were going to pull it off....but a fall from Danny and two engine failures from Brent almost certainly helped to seal our fate.
Not too sure if anyone was aware but Doyley had a motor blow up in the pits and was using a second motor for his first two rides which seemingly refused to get out of the gate.
The Monarchs had their fair share of problems by all accounts though, but the upshot was that we were served up a thoroughly entertaining meeting.
Well done to the Monarchs on your Premier League success, thoroughly deserving winners I feel sure everyone will agree. Let's hope to goodness the BSPA don't find it neccesary to deplete succesful teams too much.
Nobody gave either the Rebels or the Monarchs much of a chance at the beginning of the season...Well didn't we show them all!
Absolutely terrific to see Ritchie finding his feet on the track again. After a tentative first stint, he really started to look good on the shale.
He was absolutely 'bubbling' afterwards when I had a quick word with him. Keep it up 'Chopper'!
